Lauri Mundi - 1847 Antebellum, Aberdeen Mississippi

Okay it IS in Mississippi. But look at it. 5516 square feet. 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths. On TWENTY ACRES! All for just $475k. It's got a first floor laundry room, library -- with gorgeous glass door bookcases, 2 car garage, a barn, a sleeping porch (cool!), 6 inch original heartpine floors, ornate moldings on the first floor. Even central air. Plus there's a guess house and a 2 stall horse stable. If it had a pool it would be perfect.

  1. "Ok, it IS in Mississippi"??? Seriously? Typical ignorant and stereotypical comment. It just so happens that my sister used to own this house for years and I have spent many wonderful days and nights there and in Aberdeen. Aberdeen is replete with history, dozens of similar homes, festivals and wonderful people. If you spent a little time there and did a little research instead of whipping out the same tired assumptions about Mississippi, people might take you more seriously... You owe Mississippi an apology and should be ASHAMED. Michael McSwain

  2. This belonged to my wife's family between the time it was built (1847) and the death of her grandmother (1989). If I could have figured out how to earn a living in Aberdeen, Mississippi, I would have bought it!
